The 84th Carnival of Personal Finance is up on Blueprint for Financial Prosperity. My post on 529 Savings Plans is listed (number 39 way at the bottom). There are some very good posts on this list, and I will list my favorites sometime after lunch.
Here is some of the better articles (in my opinion):
- Tag presents An Emergency Fund is like the Ark posted at EveryDay Money.
- TJP presents Great Tool for Managing Your Investment Portfolio posted at Investor Trip.
- Ben presents Ten Low Cost Ways to Reduce Money Stress posted at Money Smart Life.
- Paul presents Advice on Investing in Stocks - an Alternative Perspective posted at ExtremePerspective.
- burningchrome presents Power Secret: A Must Read For Those Age 24 or Younger posted at Smart Cool Rich.
Some the articles are absolutely horrible. One was about how much money you would have in 10 years if you put away $10,000. Ok, it’s called a calculator. Another post was one paragraph and had a link to a graph from a magazine. I put a lot of time and effort into my post for the carnival. I guess I should not worry about it. Hopefully the quality of my post will bring me more readers, and they will appreciate the time I spend putting these posts together.
Glad you enjoyed the post and thanks for saying so here. You are right about it never being too early to start planning for college. We have our first kid coming in March and I have already started thinking about 529s. I think there are some good advantages to them. Take care.
