SlashMySearch is a search engine that gives you money for searching. You can make 25 cents an hour just for using their search engine as opposed to Google or Yahoo. While this may seem like another pyramid scheme like Cash Duck, it is just another way to make some easy money (by the way, I am up to over $55 with Cash Duck). The payout structure is shown below:

Now, this search engine is not even close to being as good as Google or Yahoo. Here are the reasons why you should not use it:

1. It is very very slow. This is nice because you get money for time using the search engine, but if you are in a hurry for results, this is the wrong site.
2. If you want results, this is not the place. 80% of the time, the search returns 0 results.
3. The search will return 1 page of results, and there will be a link for a next page. There is never anything on the next page.
4. The search usually returns 1 decent result and a bunch of irrelevant results.
5. The search results are very outdated.

While those are all good reasons to not use this site, the reason I use it is because you get paid for it. I just set it as my homepage, and every time I bring up my homepage, I get paid. It may not be much as I am up to only 20 cents so far, but it is better than nothing (20 cents in 2 days work, $3 a month) .  I also sometimes search for something using SlashMySearch, then do the same search in Google for real. If I can make a couple of dollars a month with this, I think it will be worth it. If they can improve the searching, it will really be worth.

I found a new place to make some free money. Cash Duck is a place where you apply for offers, and they give you money. I have made $21.65 so far in probably about 20 minutes of work. $60 an hour is not a bad return. This is a better return than all of the survey sites I participate in.

They also give you feathers that you can purchase items with. If you get 75 feathers, you can purchase a $5 gift card from various merchants. This may not seem good, but you get money and feathers with every offer, so the feathers are just an added bonus. All in all, I love this site. Everytime I remember, I head over and make some money. Check it out, even for a quick $10, I think it’s worth it.

Forgot to Mention:
You will want to sign up for all the offers with an email address devoted to SPAM because you will probably get a ton.  Also, do not put in any real phone numbers or anything like that as you will get calls like crazy.  I usually put in my real name and address, but that is it.

Here is a way to make a quick $5:

Excessive Sleepiness Poll is a place you can register and take the first survey. You put in your name and e-mail, then take a 5 question survey, it took me about 1 minute. You then just wait for them to e-mail you in the next few weeks.

I got my e-mail today, took the next 3 surveys, and it said I would receive my check in 2 - 4 weeks. The 3 surveys took about 2 minutes to take. 4 surveys, maybe 4 minutes, for $5. That’s a nice $75/hr.

I opened a ShareBuilder account after I read a post from My Money Blog about the bonuses that you can get from them. I signed up, put in a $50 code, and went researching to buy a stock.

I wanted to buy Safelink (Symbol: SFLK) as they were a Tech stock, and were only priced at 9 cents a share. The problem was (as is the biggest problem I have with ShareBuilder), the $4 stock trades only occur on Tuesday. I set the account up on Monday, and the money did not clear until after Tuesday. Needless to say the stock jumped up to over 25 cents a share (what I would have sold it for the next Tuesday).
