Improve Your Blog - Traffic - Blog Directories

images7.jpg

Adding your site to different blog directories can easily increase your blog traffic. It is a good way to get links to your site, and for people to see information on your site. While Blog Directories that focus on the topic of your blog will probably bring more traffic, any Blog Directory is better than no Blog Directory.

I have found some Blog Directories to be good, and some not so. PFBlogs.com provides me with the best amount of traffic. I usually get about 5 visits per post. As opposed to PFBlogs.org, where I have gotten less than 5 visits in my last 10 posts. The other directories I belong to only bring 2 or 3 visits a week, but I keep those up there for the rankings mainly. But remember, 2 or 3 visits a week is better than nothing.

Traffic is all about getting your site out to a number of different places. It is also about getting your link in front of as many different faces as possible. Any kind of Link Directory will do this.

Improving Your Blog - Traffic - Carnivals

I am going to start a weekly series of posts of how to improve your blog/website. These will highlight a few topics such as how to increase traffic, plug-ins and software I use to make my site better, and overall site tips.

The first post about improving your blog will talk about how to increase your traffic via Carnivals. I have only participated in a few carnivals, but I can really tell the results so far. The days when the Carnivals are posted I see at least double the amount of traffic to my site. I also see a gain from previous weeks where I have attracted loyal readers.

Carnivals are very easy to participate in. All you have to go is go to BlogCarnival to submit your article, and they do the rest. (Some carnivals have their own sign-up page, so you may need to visit the carnival website.) Just copy and paste the link to your article and BlogCarnival will do the rest. Fill in your name and e-mail address and you are done. The only thing you have to worry about is that your article is relevant to the Carnival of which you submitted.

If you already know about Carnivals, then I still would suggest going to BlogCarnival and searching through the lists of carnivals. I found two new carnivals that I did not know existed and submitted articles to them. I also found a few non-money related carnivals like the Carnival of True Crime Blogs. The more carnivals you get into, the more people will see your site. Also, the more carnivals you participate in, the more linkbacks you will get. If you have good articles, readers of the carnival will even linkback to you, putting you as one of their top picks.

It is a win-win situation for everyone. You get exposure, and the readers get valuable information.daddy day care free money train dvdrip download
